When extended outward, the door pivots into a horizontal overhead position, forming a practical awning. This not only opens up the façade but also invites the outdoors in, transforming any space into a dynamic and connected environment.

Specifications
Operation:
The door system comprises two hydraulically operated leaves, each actuated by hydraulic cylinders mounted to either side of the door panels. Cylinder stroke length and bore are engineered to suit the applied loads and incorporate a minimum safety factor of 2, ensuring smooth, balanced, and controlled operation of both leaves.
Locking:
The doors are automatically locked by the hydraulic system when in the closed position.
Frame:
The door frame is constructed from steel RHS sections, sized in accordance with door dimensions and structural loading requirements.
For smaller architectural applications, the system may also be manufactured using aluminium framing, subject to project-specific assessment.
Brackets:
Brackets are manufactured from mild steel or stainless steel plate and are designed to suit the door size, loading conditions, and intended application.
Control:
Hydraulic cylinders are operated via a hydraulic power pack operating depending on door size and duty requirements. The power pack may be configured to operate multiple door leaves or multiple doors, where specified, and is sized to provide appropriate pump capacity for smooth and controlled opening and closing speeds.
The system incorporates logic control, enabling operation via:
- Fixed wall-mounted controls
- Remote transmitters
- Mobile phone interfaces
- Home automation systems
Tracks:
Tracks comprise custom-pressed steel channels, designed to suit the door size and loading, typically incorporating a pivot point at the track head to guide door movement.
Bottom Rollers:
Bottom rollers generally comprise deep-groove ball bearings fitted with a Delrin outer tyre, matched to the track profile to ensure smooth operation, load distribution, and long-term durability.
Safety
Over-Centre Valve:
An integrated over-centre valve prevents uncontrolled movement by stopping the doors from closing under gravitational load. Positive hydraulic drive is required to lower the door leaves, ensuring controlled operation at all times.
PE Safety Beams:
PE safety beams may be incorporated to detect obstructions within the door operating zone and prevent door movement when triggered.
Safety Bump Strips:
Flexible safety bump strips may be installed to the leading edges of the door leaves to stop or reverse movement upon contact with an obstruction, providing additional protection for personnel and property.
